What our alumni have to say about us
Master’s Degree in Taxation, 1996-1997
When I decided to complete the Master’s Degree in Taxation at Centro de Estudios Garrigues, over 20 years ago, I could never have imagined the huge impact that decision would have on my future career. The quality of the teaching staff, the practical, experience-based methodology shared by the professionals who made the classes home alive with their real-world expertise, and the teamwork with my fellow Master’s students all put me firmly on the path to a solid career in a top-level law firm. Since then, the comprehensive vision and highly specialized knowledge I gained have stayed with me and been key supports as I continue to exercise this exciting profession.

My time at the Center was decisive in order to forge an international professional career. I was not only able to acquire technical knowledge of the highest level, as confirmed by the most prestigious rankings, but also a way of thinking and approaching the world of today.
Class of 1998
Partner in charge of the tax practice at the Madrid Office of Andersen Tax & Legal
I studied the Master’s Degree in Taxation at Centro de Estudios Garrigues twenty years ago, when it was still organized by ARTHUR ANDERSEN and, looking back, I am surprised that there hasn’t been a single day of my professional career that I haven’t used the knowledge and values I learnt there, such as legal reasoning, effort, teamwork, meeting deadlines, attention to detail, and the need to constantly update your knowledge, among others.
As chance would have it, after a twenty-year career at other firms, I recently joined ANDERSEN TAX & LEGAL, where I have once again found that business culture. In short, the Master’s Degree in Taxation at Centro de Estudios Garrigues is a guarantee of success when it comes to pursuing a professional career in tax advice in Spain.
Class of 2002
Compensation and Benefits Consultant at SHC Denarius. Postgraduate lecturer in HR (CENTRUM Católica, ESAN, UPC and USIL).
As a Peruvian and a Latin American, I have absolutely no doubt that choosing Centro de Estudios Garrigues was a wise decision in my life, which helped accelerate my professional development. What is more, thanks to the Center, I was able to pursue my professional career in Spain for 9 years and to teach classes in the same classrooms where I was a student.
Master’s Degree in Labor Law Counseling 2000-2001

From my time at the Center, I would highlight many things but particularly the values and principles instilled from the outset and which I try to foster every day: the ongoing pursuit of professional excellence in all areas and humility.

When you arrive at the Center, your expectations are always high and yet they always manage to exceed them. Over and above the quality of the teaching staff, the atmosphere and the sharing of knowledge among classmates make the time spent studying an exceptional experience.
Class of 1999-2000
New Vice President of Corporate HR at BMW Group in Europe
When I completed the Master’s Degree in Human Resources at Centro de Estudios Garrigues in 2000 I never thought that my life was going to change as much as it has done. This was thanks in no small part to my dear teachers, to the non-teaching staff and to the classmates (many of whom have been friends since) I was lucky to meet over the nine months of very intensive but also enjoyable classes. I started the master’s degree with little knowledge of HR and I came out with an enthusiasm and a level of training without which I could not explain my professional career or the knowledge and values I try to put into practice every day.
Executive Program in Sports Management 2015 - 2016
UEFA Pro manager and former professional footballer.
Winner of 3 Champions League titles and 2 La Liga titles with Real Madrid.
The first thing that comes to mind is a huge THANK YOU to Centro de Estudios Garrigues and to each of my teachers and colleagues who were able to keep me engaged in the course and in each of the classes. When I ended my playing career, I always thought that I wanted and needed to better understand this world that I am so passionate about and that has been my life for such a long time, from a different perspective other than simply as a player. Garrigues has made it possible for me to gain an insight into many areas that were previously unknown to me and has given me knowledge and tools that will undoubtedly be of great help in the future, coupled with enjoyable, relaxed and entertaining classes, teamwork and case studies that enabled each of us to contribute our ideas and knowledge and pass on what we had learned. In short, a course that has enriched me as a professional and on a personal level and that I recommend 100%.
HR Experienced Senior at Deloitte
And, it was in July 2012 in the Big Apple, when my direction changed. My degree was coming to an end and my passion for Human Resources had exponentially increased in the last twelve months. Excellence, professionalism, trust and humanity defined what was to be my home in the next few months, the Centro de Estudios Garrigues. October arrived and brought with it a new challenge full of doubts, nerves, expectations and hope. A new window opened; a window that, without knowing it, would never close, because although I don’t visit the center as much as I would like, in its different formats, it is with me every day and always brings a smile to my face, thanks to the very special memories. My first approach to the working world of ongoing, updated and highly practical learning not only established the foundations of my future professional life, but also developed me as a person. We studied a whole range of situations and in each one I learned things that I apply to my daily work. However, none of this is possible without people and the generosity was present every day, both between colleagues (now friends) and from the teachers, exceptional professionals providing us with their knowledge. All I can say about my experience with Garrigues is thank you; thank you for being a stamp that will always be in my passport as a guide, a reference and a model to follow.
