Professional experience: Antonio Martin Espina (born in Madrid in 1966) has been president of the Spanish Basketball Clubs Association (ACB) since July 2018. His four-year term has been extended until 2025 with the unanimous vote of all clubs.

In addition to his successful career as a basketball player in the ACB and the Spanish national team, Martín Espina has enjoyed an impressive career in business ventures related to sport, technology, banking, and television.

During his thirteen years at Real Madrid, Martín Espina won five Spanish League titles, four Spanish Cup trophies, one Spanish Super Cup, one EuroLeague title, three FIBA European Cup Winner’s Cup trophies, and one FIBA Korać Cup. He also earned 62 caps for the Spanish national team and won a bronze medal at EuroBasket in 1991, as well as being named in the tournament’s ‘best five’.

After retiring, Martin maintained his connection to basketball as sport director of the basketball section at Real Madrid, from 2005 to 2009. In 2010, he advised the ACB during the signing of their first global television rights agreement.
