Director of the Master
Carlos Arrieta Martínez holds a dual Bachelor in Law and in Economics & Business. From February 1985 to June 1994, he worked at Garrigues (then Arthur Andersen Asesores Legales y Tributarios) as director of teams assigned to clients to provide advisory services on a range of matters (corporate restructuring, international planning for business groups, tax advice for large national companies, groups of companies, and multinational corporations, etc.).
From July 1994 to April 1995, he served as head of the tax department of Grupo SAFEI (a group of companies then owned by FCC and ONCE), which provided financial services (asset management, investment funds, pension funds, brokerage in financial markets, real estate investment trusts, etc.).
From May 1995 to September 2015, he was a executive director at Endesa, first in the corporate economic-financial department (reporting to the corporate director); and, after February 2001, in the tax advisory department, reporting to the corporate legal advisory director.
Since October 2015, he has been a tax adviser on investment and divestment projects, tax planning, tax inspections, and tax litigation.
Since 1996, he has collaborating with Centro de Estudios Garrigues in various master’s degree programmes. In 2016, he took on the role of director of the Master of Access to the Legal Profession + Master in Tax Law and of the Master in Taxation.
