Biography

Pepa Bueno Fidel sits on the advisory council for the Master in Luxury & Fashion Business Management and is executive director of the Spanish Fashion Creators Association (ACME).

She is an art historian, specialised in design history, and has pursued her professional career in the field of women’s and fashion press. She has worked for publications such as Woman, Elle, and Vogue Novias, and was part of the launch team of Yo Dona, where she held the position of deputy director.

Since her arrival at the Spanish Fashion Creators Association (ACME) in 2013, she has encouraged new members to join and led numerous initiatives both in Spain and abroad, seeking to promote and raise awareness of the cultural and economic value of Spanish fashion design. She has curated several fashion exhibitions, including all five editions of ‘Made in Spain: La mode au delà des frontières’, at the residence of the Spanish ambassador in Paris; and ‘Las costuras femeninas de la moda de España (1930–2018)’, an idea of Agencia EFE and ACME, jointly produced with the National Museum of Decorative Arts.

Over the course of her career, she has taught classes and delivered lectures at various institutions, such as Ramón Areces Foundation, IED Madrid, Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, Pompeu Fabra University, Menéndez Pelayo International University, and Anáhuac Mayab University in Mérida (Mexico). As director of ACME, she is a member of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid fashion committee. She is a member of the Fashion Board, which was established by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism and includes prominent members of the sector. She is a member of the jury of European project S4Fashion. In 2017, she received the ADYMO award for fashion communication.
