On 8 July, Centro de Estudios Garrigues celebrated a very special moment: the closing of the academic year and class of 2021/22 graduation ceremony. After months of hard work, this emotional event, held at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid, was the perfect culmination of the activities carried out over the course of the year.
The closing of this academic year was charged with emotion. Félix Plaza Romero, president of Centro de Estudios Garrigues, kicked off the event hosted by Alejandro Huertas León, former student and lecturer at Centro de Estudios Garrigues. The graduation ceremony was conducted by Fernando Vives Ruiz, president of Garrigues. Elena Gazapo Carretero, rector of Universidad Europea, was also in attendance, as were the directors of the graduate programmes taught at the business school. Our own faculty, of course, were also there for their students on such a momentous day.
The keynote address was delivered by the guest of honour, Rosa Tous i Oriol. The vice-president of Tous and president of Andema not only congratulated all graduating students, but also inspired them with a motivational speech about ‘the three Cs’, the values on which she has relied throughout her life: ‘consistency, coherence, and consequence’.
The ceremony at Palacio Municipal de Congresos concluded with the awarding of diplomas to the 200 graduates — followed by the diplomas for academic excellence to those whose performance during their full-time master’s degrees was particularly outstanding. They all celebrated the successful completion of their studies in the company of their guests, friends, and family.
