This pre-college programme is designed for high school students aged 15–18. During one intensive week, students will experience university life through a practical and immersive mini-moot court programme, focused on International Business and International Law, Artificial Intelligence, and Criminology.
The programme introduces students to the fundamentals of judicial proceedings and legal reasoning through a real-case simulation. Students will be introduced to the concept of a trial, the structure of judicial proceedings, and the facts and legal issues of the case they will work on throughout the week.
Students will have the chance to prepare cases in teams adviced by expert professors in areas such as International Law, Artificial Intelligence, and Criminology, providing students with the theoretical and practical tools needed to analyse the case.
Emphasis is placed on legal argumentation, critical thinking, teamwork, and oral/nonverbal communication. At the end of the programme, students will present their arguments in a simulated courtroom setting.
Throughout the programme, students develop essential academic and professional skills, includingpublic speaking, negotiation, teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving, while gaining first-hand insight into legal studies and potential career paths in law and international affairs.
